I thoroughly enjoyed my in-depth conversation with Shaka Mitchell. Shaka is a Senior Fellow at the American Federation for Children.
Based in Nashville, he is a lawyer, facilitator, and national leader in education reform policy. Shaka is a member of the Civil Society Fellowship (a project of the Aspen Institute).
He serves as co-host of the “Quality Matters” podcast (linked below).
His work has been featured in print, TV, radio, and online outlets and he is a SXSW EDU and TEDx Nashville speaker.
He is the creator of the Come Together Music Project which uses music to find common ground between people from divergent political, ideological, and socio-economic backgrounds.
He and his wife, Dr. Stephanie Mitchell, are parents to three school-aged daughters.
I encourage you to review Shaka’s various links below, all of which are highly interesting and informative…
Finally, check out the podcast episode we discussed, in which Shaka and his co-host interview Max Goldberg of Strategic Hospitality.
